Friends of Crown Point Jr. Music Academy (FoCPJMA) is the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Crown PointFOCP Gradient Logo Jr. Music Academy (CPJMA)!

Our mission is to support the academic and creative enrichment of CPJMA students and to foster positive relationships between the school, parents, teachers and community.

We do this by putting on fun events, fundraising and using the funds to pay for programs and resources at the school, (like the YMCA P.L.A.Y. PE Program, classroom supplies, musical instruments, etc.) and getting parents involved in the school community.

A History of Crown Point Jr. Music Academy

In just the relatively short period of time that CPJMA became a music academy and implemented the Suzuki Violin Program, CPJMA has grown from 115 children to over 400.  CPJMA now has a rigorous academic program, has increased attendance, is bridging the language and cultural gaps and has a unique and innovative music program that has cultivated students who appreciate the visual and performing arts.  In  the span of 5 years, CPJMA’s API score has rapidly risen.

Through the public relations efforts of faculty, staff and parents, new families continue to gravitate to CPJMA, both from within the District and as a result of inter-District transfers which brings funds from other schools districts into our school District.  Unlike other music programs throughout the country, CPJMA’s Suzuki Violin program has created the perfect environment to achieve the triangle of success; bringing together the child, family and teacher and creating a vibrant and successful learning environment.  We are all privileged to be part of the CPJMA family.
